22nd Annual Tour de Vine

Rape Aggression Defense Course

Spaghetti Dinner

The Mineral United Methodist Church United Methodist Men will hold their annual spaghetti dinner on Saturday March 13th from 5p-7p. Adult plates are $8 and children 12 and under are $6. Little Miss Fluvanna Pageant

The Three Chopt Ruritan Club is seeking young ladies between the ages of 5 & 7 who are residents of Fluvanna County to participate in The Little Miss Fluvanna Pageant on Sat. 5K Race

The Fluvanna Habitat for Humanity, in partnership with Ameriprise Financial and The Ragged Mountain Running Shop, will hold it's 2nd Annual 5K Race to Build on Saturday March 20th, at Pleasant Grove on Rt. 53, near Palmyra. Rain or shine!! Walkers are also welcome for a 2 mile walk. Registration is from 7:30a-8:10a. Race starts at 8:30a. Spotswood Baptist Church Men's Connection will be sponsoring the 5th Annual Wild Game Dinner on Sat. March 27th from 2p-8p. Special guest is Byron Tabor, host of the TV Series "Dominion." Free Tax Preparation

Drivers Needed

Drivers or riders are needed to assist elderly or disabled people in gettiing to medical appointments. The Volunteers of Louisa(VOL) has received requests from local people who either cannot drive or are able to drive but need a rider to assist them. Patients can often provide their own car. Anyone interested in helping with this service may contact VOL at 540-967-6095.

Louisa County Library

Baby-Time, 10 minutes of learning things to do with children ages 2 and under, is held on Thursdays at 10:20a.

Preschool Storytime, a fun time of stories, songs, and learning for ages 3-5 is held on Thursdays at 10:30a.

Child Seat Inspection & Education

The Louisa County Sheriff's Office Will Launch the Child Seat Inspection & Education Program on Jan. 4th. Weekday appointments are available Monday-Friday, 4-4:30p(except state & national holidays), at Louisa County Rescue Squad. Weekend appointments are available 10a-2p, the second Saturday of every other month, in accordance with the following schedule:

March 13th- Lake Anna Rescue- 300 Bumpass Road, Bumpass
May 8th- Louisa County Rescue- 83 Rescue Lane, Louisa
July 10th- Zion Crossroads Fire Dept.- 409 Poindexter Road, Troy

CPR/First Aid Classes

Orange Parks and Recreation is now offering CPR/First Aid Classes each month. The cost for the class is $60. Call OCPR at 672-5435 for registration information.

Madison County Relay for Life Start-up

Relay for Life is forming in Madison County. Community meetings will be held the first Tuesday of each month at the Madison County High School Auditorium.
