Proud American Bull Riding Tour
  The Proud American Bull Riding Tour returns to Oakland Heights Farm on Saturday, September 11th. Rt. 15 between Orange & Gordonsville. Gates open at 5:30pm!! Live music at 6pm!! Bull Riding starts at 7:30pm!! Don't forget the halftime show with the barrel racing cowgirls and mutton bustin' for the kids. The Gordonsville Fire Dept. will be serving up great food all night long starting at 6pm. See you there!!

Child Seat Inspection & Education
 The Louisa County Sheriff's Office Will Launch the Child Seat Inspection & Education Program on Jan. 4th. Weekday appointments are available Monday-Friday, 4-4:30p(except state & national holidays), at Louisa County Rescue Squad. Weekend appointments are available 10a-2p, the second Saturday of every other month, in accordance with the following schedule:
July 10th- Zion Crossroads Fire Dept.- 409 Poindexter Road, Troy
Sept. 11th- Louisa County Rescue- 83 Rescue Lane, Louisa
Nov. 13th- Holly Grove Rescue-155 Factory Mill Road, Bumpass
Appointments are made by calling the Louisa County Sheriff's Office at 967-4589.

Constitution Run
 The Inaugural Constituation Run will be held Sunday, Sept. 12th at James Madison's Montpelier. The 5K will begin at 8am. Register online at montpelier.org.

Citizens' Police Academy
 The Citizens' Police Academy, sponsored by the Orange County Sheriff's Office, will be held each Tuesday night from Sept. 28th thru Dec. 7th. The program will be held at the Waugh Harley Davidson Hog Parlor from 7p-10p. The academy is open to all Orange County residents over the age of 21.
